About Grand Rapids BMW Genius, Drew Vandentoorn

Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself.

A: My name is Drew Vandentoorn. I am 23 years old, and I have worked with SHARPE since 2017. Before I became a genius, I worked in the detail department, and before I worked in the detail department I worked as a lot attendant, and before I was a lot attendant I was a porter. So I have had a lot of positions here, and I have moved up over the years, thankfully.

Q: What does being a BMW Genius entail?

A: Being a BMW Genius entails a lot of product knowledge and explaining things to people who have recently just bought vehicles, or sometimes even explaining to them a couple weeks after they have purchased a vehicle. It also includes making sure the lot is always tidy and looking correct.

Q: Do you drive a BMW?

A: I do drive a BMW, and it is a 2020 M240. I love it!

Q: What is your favorite feature of your BMW?

A: My favorite characteristic of my car would probably be its speed, because it’s really fast.
