The Coupe Advantage: Because the front wheels are responsible solely for steering, the 2 Series Coupe offers the precise handling and direct feedback characteristic of a classic BMW sports car. It is the only choice for drivers seeking the high-output inline-6 engine or the track-focused M2.	The Gran Coupe Advantage: The transverse engine layout allows for a significantly larger cabin and improved cargo flexibility. With four doors and 15.2 cubic feet of trunk space, it is more suited for trips to the Meijer Gardens or daily commutes through downtown Grand Rapids where FWD traction is an advantage in mild snow.

Winter Dynamics: While both are available with xDrive All-Wheel Drive, the Coupe’s system remains rear-biased for performance, whereas the Gran Coupe’s xDrive system is designed to provide maximum stability on slippery Michigan roads by engaging the rear wheels only when front slip is detected.
