BMW Group Welcomes Team USA to Munich, Bids Athletes “Good Luck” in Sochi

The 2014 Olympic Winter Games are upon us! The Olympic Games celebrate the human spirit. The athletes push themselves and achieve unbelievable things. It is inspiring and worthy of celebration. BMW is a proud sponsor of Team USA. Before the Olympic Winter Games began in Sochi, BMW invited all of the athletes from Team USA to Munich to wish them Good Luck in their quest for the gold. More than 100 Team USA athletes and representatives were invited to this special reception and delicious dinner. Festivities included a special address by USOC Chief of Sport Performance Alan Ashley, traditional German-themed entertainment and a tribute video to help the team prepare to compete in the 2014 Winter Games. Our BMW Michigan dealer has the same commitment to being a good host and top rate service.

BMW takes its commitment to Team USA very seriously. BMW lends its engineering and design prowess to develop more effective equipment and training for Team USA. After more than two years in development, BMW partnered with the USA Bobsled and Skeleton Federation to completely redesign the two-man bobsled. In October 2013, a fleet of six new BMW U.S. two-man bobsleds were delivered to Team USA. BMW hopes that it efforts will help Team USA recapture the Olympic gold for the first time since 1936 in the two-man bobsled event.

While Team USA athletes were in Munich, BMW invited all of them for an exciting tour of the BMW Welt facility for a full BMW brand experience. The athletes had the privilege to see how new BMW vehicles are manufactured. BMW vehicles are a lot like Olympic athletes; they are powerful, agile and graceful. It is amazing to see when the Ultimate Driving Machine meets the Ultimate Athletes.
